So I got hit by a car yesterday on 27th street coming back from running a work errand. The car clipped me and then ran over my foot. It was a student driver and they drove away.

I’m crazy lucky that my foot isn’t broken and the only injuries I have are soreness and bruising. I tried to file a police report at the hospital but got absolutely no help or sympathy from the hospital staff or police. It’s rare these days that I actually have a positive experience with the medical community, and I think that’s so sad. Multiple doctors actually questioned my heart condition and the medication that I’ve been on to control it for the past 13 years.

I’m not really sure what the point of this post is, I’ve been rambling a bit now. I guess I just have a lot of feelings about the entire incident and the resulting interactions with people. For now I’m just going to take it easy and be glad I can still walk. 

I love all sloths in general, but this sloth is particularly excellent.
